
Go through reset process attached to my Macbook. Mac Mohave 10.14.6 (no thanks Catalina no 32 bit support) with iTunes I have been trying for 1.5 days now to get it reset. My son got a new iPad for his birthday and immediately forgot his PIN and locked himself out. I love Apple and have been using since they went Unix in 2001, but the Apple recovery process for iPhones/iPads is HORRIBLE. IPad- NEVERENDING FRUSTRATION I am so frustrated.

The Recovery Mode Alert Box & iTunes each have update & restore buttons.And I get the same error messages when I click on any of these buttons.ģ] When I installed iTunes I also installed iCloud,because it showed up as an Apple Update on my PC.Ī] I created a new Apple ID & Password,but I was unable to Log in to iCloud due to this Error: “Cannot Sign in” “Your Apple ID must be used to srt up iCloud on a Mac or an iOS device before you can useī] Also in iTunes> Account> I was unable to“Authorize this Computer”: because, I had never used my Apple ID in iStore.

"To RESTORE your iPad with iPadOS 15.0.2, you need to install the latest version of iTunes"ġ] I tried Repair = Reinstall iTunes replacing missing or damged files ,but this didn’t solve the problem.Ģ] NOTE: I am able to get into Recovery Mode,but I never see the "Connect to iTunes"screen,but I don’t think this matters because: iTunes always opens automatically & I see the Recovery Mode Alert Box in iTunes. When I put my iPad into Recovery Mode,iTunes recognizes my iPad īut when try to update or restore I get this error message:

This matches the current version for Windows7, 64 Bit I downloaded on from In iTunes when I check at Help> Check for Updates it reports “This version of iTunes I’m trying to restore iTunes to factory because I forgot the passcode for my iPad,6th Generation, Wi-Fi + Cellular.
